PUBLIC NOTICE
MEETING SUMMARY: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2026, AT 5:30
President Irvine called the meeting to order.
Invocation was led by: Councilwoman Smith followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call. 7 to 0 with 0 absent.
Approval of the Minutes for February 3, 2026, meeting.
These minutes were approved by a vote of 7 to 0 with 0 absent.
INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES: Amendment to the agenda, to introduce an ordinance to amend Ordinance 972 to amend the time frame of five years that someone has to be deceased for an honorary street name change, to be excluded for areas where there are no houses or structures.
Public participation was held.
PUBLIC HEARINGS & ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES:
AN ORDINANCE to honor Mrs. Robert Valeira “Jack” Payton Hicks by a dedication of the 700 Block of Marx Street to her memory (Introduced by President Kates)
This ordinance failed with a vote of 5 to 2 with 0 absent.
End of City business for the City of Bogalusa.
